Not enough feeder cattle on hand for a good price test but few comparable
sales traded steady to firm. Slaughter cows another 2.00-5.00 higher after last
week’s sharp upswing. Supply light and demand moderate to good. Cows and bulls
accounted for 29 percent of the total offering. The feeder supply consisted of
62 percent steers and bulls and 38 percent heifers; 48 percent of all the feeder
cattle weighed over 600 lbs.
