Cattle Auction Report for 11/17/15

   Not enough feeder cattle on offer this week to truly test the market, but where
comparisons to last weeks feeder special could be made, this weeks calf offering
sold 4.00 to 8.00 lower and yearlings 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Slaughter cows 2.00 to
5.00 lower. A rainy day in mid-Missouri made for a packed house for this months
Special Cow Sale in conjunction with the regular weekly auction. Several high
quality, reputation consignments were met with very active bidding and had no
trouble finding a new home. Supply and demand moderate. Cows and bulls accounted
for 52 percent of the total offering. The feeder supply consisted of 78 percent
steers and bulls and 22 percent heifers; 62 percent of all the feeder cattle
weighed over 600 lbs.
 
   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1 few 400-500 lbs 191.00-202.50; 500-600
lbs 171.00-192.00; 600-700 lbs 163.25-172.50; 700-800 lbs 167.75-171.50. 
Medium and Large 1-2  pkg fleshy 659 lbs 155.25. 
 
   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1  few 400-500 lbs 183.00-191.00; pkg 632
