Wheeler Auction Service hosted a sale for Larry Bock on Sept 25 2012 in which he sold farms, equipment and the livestock market to pursue other interest.
This photo taken in 1979 in the "Blue Room" of Columbia Livestock Auction shows Left to Right ... Charlie Angell, Luther Angell, and LW Angell Jr. -- who along with Bandy Jacobs and Logan Heathman successfully marketed livestock for a generation in Central Missouri.
Many of MVCC's and EMCC's marketing philosophy and technique was developed over the years at Columbia Livestock Auction.
Here Jason Hackman moves cattle from the overnight feed and water pens to be sorted for sale.
After being sorted for sex, size, kind and quality, the cattle get ready to be moved into the ring to be weighed and sold.
Here the cattle leave the auction ring right before the auctioneer pronounces them "SOLD."
We had a big crowd for our first sale, Oct 23, 2012, the cattle, the buyers and the prices were all GOOD.
Dustin Wassman follows the cattle to the buyers assigned pen for the day, where they are commingled with other cattle to make groups of like kind cattle to fill orders and often to make truckload lots.
